My furnace had been giving me some trouble, and I was super uneasy that I would have to buy a new one.
The furnace itself is not that old, however the condo that I am living in is quite old.
It is hard to heat the locale as it is because so much air escapes from the seasoned house. I guess I need to just go ahead and have the entire condo reinsulated. I do not have the money for that right now though. I observed that my furnace was acting up a couple weeks ago when I came apartment from work, and the condo was actually cold. It was fifty degrees even though the control unit was set to seventy degrees. My condo would get cold sporadically, however it never got that cold during the previous winters, so I thought something was up. I continued to go about my company for a few more nights, and the furnace seemed to keep the condo moderate quite well. Then, last Wednesday, it was actually cold in my condo again, so I called an Heating plus Air Conditioning business. They came over and evaluated out my furnace. They told me what was wrong and how much it would cost to service it, however when I heard their quote of how much it would cost, I almost passed out. It was insanely high-priced. I legitimately could have purchased a new furnace for that price. Thankfully, my dad came over one evening and took a look at my furnace. She said that she could service it within just a few hours if I purchased the new part needed. When it was all said and done, I saved over a thousand dollars. I am so thankful that my dad knows a little about Heating plus Air Conditioning work.
