Well, they don’t call it the Sunshine State for nothing.
I’m sitting out in the warm sun on the 29th of December and feel like I need a fan next to me, as it is so warm out.
I’m off of this writing job for the next few days, but I want to stay ahead of the game because I will be flying overseas in ten days and want to get ahead because I won’t write that day. It is really warm outside right now, probably around 83F in the sun. I’m tempted to run the window air conditioner in my room, but I am trying to avoid doing so because I don’t want to use more power while staying with my aunt. She has a big papaya tree out back with a whole bunch of them on it, but they are all still green and I’m not sure they will ripen before I leave in ten days. My HVAC supplier turned me on to papaya by putting lime juice on it before eating it, up until then I never really liked the taste of the orangey fruit. It is really good for you though so I am going to make it a point to eat it as often as possible. I’m going to buy a new furnace filter for my aunt and try to help her clean the gas furnace in the basement before I leave as a way of saying thanks for letting me stay with her for three weeks. I may also leave her $100 when I fly out that day.
