I’ve become more nostalgic as time goes on and as more of my life is in the rearview mirror.
I still look forward to fine times in the future however a lot of my life has passed me by and I like to reminisce about it from time to time.
I say a lot of my life is in the past because I am honestly over two thirds of the way through my life, maybe even less. My buddy and I were talking about death last night and how unscary it honestly is, as we won’t know when it happens, but ductwork cleaning and repairs for my Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C supplier are more scary to me than death because of some of the mean rats I have encountered in attics and basements. One time, there were so several rats in this one basement, my dad and I got BB guns and tried shooting them so we could get our labor done without getting attacked. I don’t know we hit one the whole time. Dad owned a local contractor and did a lot of heating and cooling system repairs and service work. I helped him when I was off of school and learned quite a bit over those summers working with him. He is still running the heating corp that he began with a local contractor over 50 years ago, but I know he is going to hang up the boots soon and prefer some time off for a change. I plan on working in the industry for another 15 years before I too call it quits.
