It’s never easy when a family comes apart.
Honestly, that was the last thing I thought would ever happen to us.
But life changes and people change. However, it’s hard to believe that my wife and I are now divorced and I’m starting over. We met inside the radiant heating of a dorm room where we went to college. It was just a random meeting as I was picking up some notes from a friend. But we fell in love over our senior year. Once we were out of the radiant heating of those dorm rooms, I started my career and we got married. My wife was eager to start a family so we bought a house with new residential HVAC equipment and got busy raising kids. It was what I thought to be a quite normal existence. It was work, family and faith for more than 20 years. But in retrospect, I can see that I spent far too many hours inside the commercial HVAC of the office chasing success. And that really did take a toll on my relationship with my wife. I wasn’t around all that much and she started living a more independent life as the kids got older. Once they were off to college, my wife told me that it was over for her. I was stunned but part of my subconscious was not surprised. So here I am, in a much smaller house doing renovations to a place that I will now call home. The first thing I did was to have the latest in HVAC technology installed in my new place. I love the quality heating and air of this new residential HVAC. Coming home to perfect quality heating and air doesn’t cure lonely but it sure does help.
