One of the worst jobs I could imagine

One of the worst jobs I could imagine

Growing up were told that we can do just about anything we put our minds to, or at least in most cases.

Hard work and perseverance or working hard to get a quality education can go a long way in our career choices.

I have decided that one of the worst jobs that I would ever want to have is that of a mail carrier. For some unknown reason they are subjected to everything from dogs barking at them to rude customers who feel that their package should have arrived the day before even though it’s not their fault. However, the worst part of this job in my opinion would be the subjection to the elements year-round without any true form of heating and air conditioning. Most of them drive trucks that have open side panels so that they can easily get the mail into mailboxes at least on Rural routes and I know that our mail carrier tries to stay bundled up in the winter but I can’t imagine when it’s 20 below that her job is very easy. The old saying that snow wind and rain won’t stop the mail really holds true and they are subjected to trying to get you your mail on time no matter what the temperature. I am sure that there is some sort of heat in the mail truck but I know that there is no air conditioning whatsoever so when it is 85 and sunny outside with no breeze in sight, I am sure that she’s totally miserable. And yet she comes to the door with a smile on her face with my package in hand and tells me to have a nice day. I just don’t think I’m capable of that.
