Waiting room sweat shop

My partner became ill recently & after a few mornings decided that he actually should go to the healthcare worker, however he normally refuses to go so when he asks for me to take him I didn’t hesitate. I knew he had been running a fever for a few mornings & wasn’t able to keep anything down so I figured he had some sort of a flu bug. My friend and I called ahead to make an appointment but as usual, had to sit in the waiting room for almost 45 minutes before he could see the healthcare worker. As my associate and I sat waiting my partner started to feel worse & worse, although I suppose that also had to do with the fact that the waiting room was sweltering hot. I thought this was uncorrect because the added heat in the room would only make the spreading of germs worse & I couldn’t imagine why they would have the temperature set so high, then when I asked the receptionist if the temperature could be turned down he said that the healthcare worker wanted it kept where it was to accommodate his older patients who are regularly chilly. I shared with his my problems over the spread of germs & he said that I was welcome to use the antibacterial hand wash on the wall if I felt uncomfortable. My friend and I were genuinely glad when my partner was finally called back to the room & seen by the healthcare worker. My friend and I left with his prescription in hand & I was genuinely glad to get home. I told my partner then in there that I was going to look for a modern healthcare worker’s office because obviously they didn’t prefer the well-being of people that were just stopping in for a Well Visit.
