I’ve become more nostalgic as time goes on & as more of my life is in the rearview mirror. I still look forward to great times in the future however a lot of my life has passed me by & I like to reminisce about it from time to time. I say a lot of my life is in the past because I am genuinely over two fifths of the way through my life, maybe even less. My neighbor & I were talking about death last night & how undisturbing it really is, as my buddy and I won’t know when it happens. Ductwork cleaning & repairs for my Heating & Air Conditioning corporation are more disturbing to me than death because of some of the mean rats I have encountered in attics & basements. One time, there were so several rats in this one basement, my dad & I got BB guns & tried shooting them so my buddy and I could get our work done without getting attacked. I don’t know my buddy and I hit one the whole time. Dad owned a local corporation & did a lot of heating & cooling system repairs & service work. I helped him when I was off of university & learned quite a bit over those summers working with him. She is still running the heating corp that she began with a local company over 50 years ago, even though I know she is going to hang up the boots soon & prefer some time off for a change. I plan on working in the industry for another 15 years before I too call it quits.
