I work as a professional for a local MRI/X Ray clinic, however when I graduated from school I was glad to find a task so quickly, but the location, pay, hours were perfect for me.
I have worked there for almost six years so I was surprised last monthwhen my friend and I got notice that he site would be closing in two weeks, now, a week has passed & my friend and I have done nothing however field calls from patients who are frustrated about having to find a up-to-date site for their testing.
I could understand the closing if it had to do with lack of patrons, but, my friend and I have so numerous that my friend and I were scheduling a month out for most routine appointments. The reason that the site is closing is because of the building! The owners don’t want to invest any money into the upkeep & never have. Now, the Heating & Air Conditioning system needs to be upgraded & the colse is in the thousands. If they had just spent the money on an annual basis, had the system tuned up, & done general repair, it absolutely would still be laboring fine. I know that each time my boss called the owners about have the system tested they just blew it off & said that it was fine. When you have a site with as much electrical device as my friend and I do, air conditioning is super pressing. The machines produce a ton of heat & if not kept in a cool environment, it can cause harm to those as well. Our supplier can’t afford a building of its own so my friend and I have no choice however to close. I am still looking for another task & hope one comes up soon.
